Nordic ministers for agriculture meet in Pori

The Nordic ministers responsible for food agriculture and fisheries are meeting in Pori on the west coast of Finland 27- 29 June.

The DKK 50,000 Nordic Bioenergy Prize 2007 was awarded on behalf of the Nordic Council of Ministers to the manager of Energigården (the energy farm) in Norway, Erik Eid Hohle, on 27 June by the Finnish Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, Sirkka-Liisa Anttila, during a ministerial council meeting in Pori, Finland, the agenda for which also included the subject of bio-energy. New Nordic Food on the menu

Marketing and availability of food to children and young people, bioenergy and the future of cod in the Baltic Sea. These three subjects were under discussion at the ministerial meeting of the Nordic Ministers for Food, Agriculture and Fisheries in Björneborg on 28 June. Finland¿s Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, Sirkka-Liisa Anttila, chaired the meeting. Read more

Challenge to get youngsters to eat fish

Consumers think that fish is healthy, but young people choose fish considerably less often than older people. These were some of the central challenges brought up at a seminar on the image of fish in Bjørneborg on the western coast of Finland on 27 June. Read more
