Nordic Council of Ministers

The Nordic Council of Ministers established in 1971 is a cooperation body for the governments of the Nordic countries. It consists of several councils for different sectors. The activities in the administrative sector of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry comprise agriculture and forestry, fisheries and the food sector. Organisations under the Council include the gene banks and research bodies for agriculture and forestry. The issues are prepared at committees of civil servants, with representatives of all the Nordic countries.
