The Development Fund of Agriculture and Forestry is an off-budget fund governed by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. The purpose of the fund is to ensure and complement the funding of investments in agriculture and forestry and other rural industries and promote actions which support their development as set down by law or decided by the Finnish Parliament during the budget process. The fund is managed by a board appointed by the Finnish Government.
Finance
The budget of the administrative
sector of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry is about 2.8 billion euros.
Almost 80 per cent of the expenditure relates to activities in the contexts of
the European Union.
